Who We Are
Alexis Foundation Hati is a Christian nonprofit that supports Masion des Efants de Dieu,
an orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The orphanage cares for about 55 children and provides employment for 50 adults (mostly women) which allows them to provide for their families.
We believe that every child is a unique individual with a Godly plan and purpose for their life. We also believe that children best flourish in a family, but that life circumstances sometimes require an alternate safe haven.
The Orphanage
The orphanage has been in operation since 2003 as a green status creche and works in compliance and partnership with IBESR (Haitian social services). The orphanage provides food, clothing, medical care, shelter, education, spiritual guidance, and cultural and developmental opportunities for the children.
Maison works closely with IBESR to not only facilitate birth family reunification when possible but also to prepare adoption files for children who are available for an adoption match.
Maison is capably led and managed by two brothers, Pierre and Franckis Alexis who have been committed to this cause since it was founded.
